The original FLEXOMANT models for rear-mounting are particularly suited to areas of application where accurate and uniform application of herbicides on the treated surface area is required. Pumps on the FLEXOMANT models are wheel-driven, meaning that metering is dependent on the distance travelled and not on the driving speed. The atomisers are driven electronically via the tractor's on-board power supply.

An parallelogram construction between the hitch and the wheel ensures that the wheels remain on the surface so that the pump is driven continuously, even over rough terrain. The small gap between the atomiser or spray hood and the ground remains constant so that drift is minimised.

The side extension arms of the FLEXOMANT models listed below are standard and have spray hoods with a steel roll-off device/wheen and a spray width of 40 cm. A folding mechanism on the extension arm ensures that the spray hood folds back upon contact with an obstacle (e.g. tree stump) so that no damage will occur to the spray hood or the stump itself. The spring of the folding mechanism can be optionally replaced with a softer spring in order to, for example, better protect young(er) trees from damaging. Plastic spray hoods with a 36 cm spray width are also available as an option for these FLEXOMANT models.
